CZCS - Coastal Zone Color Scanner Data
MERIS - MERIS Data - (North American 300m)
MODISA - MODIS-Aqua Data
MODIST - MODIS-Terra Data
OCTS - Ocean Color and Temperature Sensor Data
SeaWiFS -Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor Data
/L0 - Level-0 data files orgainized by YYYY/DDD
/L1 - Level-1(A|B) data files orgainized by YYYY/DDD
/L2 - Level-2 data files orgainized by YYYY/DDD
/Binned - Level-3 binned (4-km or 9-km) data. The files
are organized by binning period: i.e. Daily, 8-Day,
Monthly, Monthly Climatology, Seasonal, etc.
/Mapped - Level-3 4-km and/or 9-km standard-map files in HDF format
The files are organized by binning period: i.e. Daily, 8-Day,
Monthly, Monthly Climatology, Seasonal, etc, and product.
/L3BIN - L3-binned data. These are the same products available
in the Binned directory, organized by year and day.
/L3SMI - L3-standard-maps of the binned data in L3BIN directory.
These are the same products available in the Mapped directory,
organized by YYYY/DDD.
/CAL - Latest calibration files, such as L0 and L1B LUTs.
Ancillary - Ancillary data used for data processing
/Attidude-Ephemeris - MODIS (Terra and Aqua) attitude and ephemeris
data necessary to process geolocation The files are organized by
YYYY/DDD.
/Meteorological - includes NCEP MET, Ozone, OISST (daily, 0.25deg),
sea ice and NO2 data used for L1-L2 processing. The files are
organized by YYYY/DDD.
/OISST - NOAA Optimum Interpolation (OI) Sea Surface Temperature
(weekly, 1deg resolution).
/Common - Data files common to two or more missions, e.g. the land
mask, and the leapsec.dat and utcpole.dat used for MODIS processing
Compression Formats:
Most of the files on this site have been compressed with the "bzip2" compression
utility. Bzip2 is included with most Linux distributions. They can be
uncompressed using either of the following commands:
If you do not have bzip2 installed on your platform, you can visit the official bzip2 home page to download it: http://sources.redhat.com/bzip2/
Some files may be compressed with "gzip" (.gz) or standard *NIX "compress" (.Z). Both of these formats can be uncompressed using either of the following commands:
