Falkland Blues

The Falkland Islands is an archipelago comprised of more than 750 islands situated on the Patagonian shelf in the South Pacific. The area to the east of Patagonia is one of the most biologically productive in the global Ocean. Nutrient-rich waters flow from deep into the southeast Pacific and feed substantial phytoplankton blooms, which sustain the food web and create one of the most important carbon sinks in the world.
